Most Helpful Positive Review Waterproof and Breathable
I've used this jacket on several week long backpacking trips. It kept me totally dry during a 24 hour downpour in New Hampshire. It is very breathable; I did not experience any of the clamminess associated with cheaper jackets.

Good rain jacket at great price

The Marmot Precip is just a very good basic rain jacket. While it doesn't breathe as well as much more expensive jackets not is it as light but it will keep you dry at a great price point. It does have pit zips to help dump heat if you need to do so and if you're just looking for an everyday jacket to keep you dry, you can't beat it.

Great lightweight rain jacket that can be crushed, packed, and put into it's own pocket. Very good for travel, hiking, layering, daily wear, and sports events. Not so good for wear in extremely heavy rain.

Great rain jacket

Pros : Exactly what I was looking for. Light weight and waterproof with a hood . I Can layer underneath In cooler weather. Folds up small for travel. Cons : The waterproof material makes the jacket not very breathable and makes me sweat so much it feels like the jacket is leaking.

lightweight rain jacket

The product arrived just as expected. The fit is fine. The weather just turned colder so I have yet to try it out for both wind and rain resistance but it is very well made as I expect in Marmot products. I am looking forward to trying it out!

Lightweight, waterproof and comfortable. Great spring or fall jacket. Nice variety of colors. Hood rolls into collar. Quick delivery. Fits true to size. Not too large or small. Large pockets. No complaints.

A light-weight jacket which will be good for warmer climates. It basically fits true to size but is a on the snug side which is good for outdoor adventures. Good price too! It arrived in a timely fashion

For this price is more then good. Breathability could be better, but in case of need to use during heavier physical activity probably something with Gore would be option., For hiking is O.k. Used now at Smoky mountains and worked well during summer rains.

Good choise for not hard backpacking.

It's perfect in minimalism for backpacking.
There's only necessary: pockets, armpit and central zips.
13 oz for this shell which has good quality, defence from rain and breathable is good deal.
I see It's suitable for not hard backpacking.

Loved the jacket. Have been looking and needing something lightweight that
works. This coat fills the bill. Went for Mbt ride and jacket kept me dry while
the pit zips kept me cooled in the AR humidity.

Got a great deal on this top-ranked packable rain jacket. Fits well. Ha e not had a chance to wear it in the rain. I’m 6’ 185 lbs, I wear a large. I got the green as it was on sale. I already own the Minimalist, got this one for travel.
