I used the MSR dromedary bag for several years, it is very durable and easy to use. Now I am changing it into the Dromlite bag, 6L. High quality as MSR always made. this bag is lighter than dromedary.

Have not used yet. I bought this blatter and the msr dromedary. This one saves a few ounces just by using different materials. I am pleased with quality and design of both blatters. However if I purchase more I believe I will stick with this blatter.

Replaced a large nalgene that still worked but less durable. Was a little worried about drying it out but seems to eventually all dry out before putting it back in gear storage

The new 2017 Dromlite bag is a new animal. No outer fabric, just a thick durable TPU flexible bladder. I've only had mine for a short time but thus far it has zero taste imparted to the water even after sitting in a sunny car window for 10 hours - that's very nice. The cap has been redesigned, totally leak free so far (old models were spotty but they would replace them for you if needed). Still a Nalgene thread but the smaller thread is now larger and fits a Sawyer filter/Smartwater bottle thread. This could be great or this could be not great if you have old accessories that won't fit on the new cap threading. I might miss the fabric but overall this is a very good upgrade to the product and they kept the weight the same.

Only one trip with them, so I can't comment on toughness, but they are very handy in camp when you don't want to camp by a water source. Flip top is pretty small but can be unscrewed to fill bottles faster. A different, higher capacity valve that could be operated with one hand would be the only improvement I could think of.

Seems solid. Been using it this season. Easy to fill with filtrated water, and fits nicely into the bottom of my kayak, as well as in basecamp for hiking and climbing. I have the 6 litres version, and it is huge.

I do acouple of week long trips in the Grand Canyon easch year, and some of the routes I take have unreliable water sources. The MSR Dromlite 6 liter bag allows me to carry the extra water I need during a leg in the trip where water sources are scarce, and is easy to fit in my pack when not needed, unlike the extra water bottles I have carried in the past. It is durable, and can also be shaped to

Great product upon my first impression. I have yet to use it in the field, however that will take place very soon. I did however run it through the ringer at home to test it's abilities, it passed! I chose this because of the multiple uses: just plain water storage backpacking, camp drinking water, hang from a tree for a washing/filling station, heck you could even do a make-shift shower/rinse.
