Great for soil
I use these with both my tents and my hammock. they are light and grab well in soil. They are easy to stake in and are durable (hit it with a rock if needed). The loop of rope is reflective so you can see it at night. Obviously they won't be super effective in snow or really loose soil.

Better than Stock Stakes
I got these to replace the stakes that came with one of my tents. I like the mini groundhogs because they're much lighter and seem very strong. I appreciate the red color which helps finding the stakes easier when setting up my tent at night. The attached loop is handy for pulling the stakes out of the ground (but don't seem reflective). These also make excellent Christmas tree ornaments!

Best lightweight stake I could find!
Heading out on a scout trip to Philmont in NM. Backpacking for 10 days and need to have some lightweight gear. (Every ounce counts!) These stakes were great!

Light-compact-great
I'm really glad I got these, as they are a big weight savings & super compact. They hold great & clean up very easy. The dirt and sand slid off of them very easy, sounds simple BUT nothing worse than lugging around a bunch of extra dirt in your stakes & then the mess of the dirt isn't fun either. Get these, you'll be happy you did...
