I had a remote canister stove (Camping Gaz) for years but lost a key part. This stove is just the ticket! I love extended high-alpine trekking and want a stove that is stable and can be protected from wind with a screen, which rules out all the integrated canister stoves; I don't want to mess with white gas. I purchased this because last year I traveled to Alaska and was camping in Denali National Park. This stove is compact and easy to control, safe!!! I used for several meals, excellent experiences!!! highly recommended.

This stove performs as advertised. I didn't have to try it in wind (and didn't use the wind shield portion). Took it on an overnight backpacking trip with my son on the Appalachian Trail. It is extremely compact. It boils a couple of cups of water fast. I started the stove, put on approximately the amount of water recommended on the food package. By the time I had prepped the dehydrated food
