I'm a side sleeper and Nemo seemed the way to go for sleeping bags. After much shopping around, I settled on this bag. I could not have been more disappointed. First, it wasn't as roomy as I had been led to believe by reviews and ads. Second, and most important, the bag I received seemed to be almost devoid of any down insulation throughout a row of middle panels from head to foot. I had checked out other Nemo bags in stores and had mot noticed this. This particular version was not available in stores near me. Still, I had not noticed the lack of fill in other Nemo bags. Third, where there was fill, it did not have any great loft (thickness). So even if that row of panels had been filled, I'm not sure how happy I would have been. I'm now looking at quilts as an alternative.
The good news was that CampSaver customer service was super. They answer the phone in person. They were quick to refund my charge. A good company.
Cons:
- Did not have the knee space I expected. Hopefully a defective bag because of lack of down in central panels.

Just returned from an 8-day trek in Alaska and this bag was my coziest thought of the day:) It is warm, soft and even has a "tuck in feeling" piece. It is super light and I can turn in it whichever way I want. Just love it.

I just got it and have not tried it in the outdoors yet. It looks very well made and is very spacious. I got it in immediately and it feels super comfy with tons of room to turn around - maybe even too much:) Cannot wait to try it in Alaska in a few weeks.

I'm looking for a bag that I can use in my hammock on cold nights. I haven't tested it out yet, but it seems really functional, well made, and roomy. I'm a wide sleeper and I wiggle around a lot; the spoon shape should give more room than a mummy bag.

I just had a chance to try out my bag where the low was about 30 degrees and it completely exceeded expectations. Certainly warm enough at those temps with just a base layer and socks and I believe easily down to 20 or so before more layers would be needed. The extra room provided by the spoon shape is awesome. I did consider a Strato Loft as I was concerned the Nocturne would still be too tight around the elbows but the extra weight, lack of long option and higher temp rating dissuaded me and I'm glad they did. The Nocturne has plenty of space to allow free movement. I'm 6'3", 250 lbs. and a side sleeper and was easily able to turn side to side within the bag. The extra comforter-like flap at the head opening is terrific and really helped keep a good seal around my neck. I will never go back to a traditional mummy style bag after experiencing this design. The quality of materials and construction is top notch as one would expect from Nemo. The zipper pulls easily and the lining is very soft. If you struggle with the confines of a mummy, this bag is definitely worth a look.

I love the fact that there is tons of room to move around in the bag with the expanded foot area. It compresses down very small with a compression sack (15L) and it quite light for it's size. The 15 degree rating might be a little generous, but I haven't taken to that temperature yet.

the nocturne is an excellent bag, lots of room for tossing around in, bought two actually and the offspring loves it as well, the blanket (flap) is really nice for tucking in and snuggling with he says, a lot like sleeping at home, could be a touch warmer, i'm sure the 15 isn't good down to 15 without winter wear but it works great for the mid-20's without a problem

I looked for a bag that is not so tight in legs and this is the right one. if you are looking for one that has much space for leg, I recommend this.

This is an update to my review earlier when I found two of the baffles with little down, and therefore cold spots. As I mentioned, I contacted Campsavers and they sent me a new bag as soon as they verified that UPS had received my shipment back. I received it in two days, thank you Campsavers, and was able to use it on a trip. I gave the bag a Five Star rating, but I would have given it a Four and
