Reviews & Ratings for Scarpa Kinesis Pro GTX Backpacking Shoes - Men's
— 7 reviews — Page 1
Very well made boots designed for heavy backpacking loads. Break-in is as expected, you can't get a well made leather boot without some time to mold the footbed to each individual's foot. I doubt that I will be able to wear them out but if so, I will return to Scarpa.I ordered the Zamberlain 996 Vio...

Now that Im in my mid 40's and have two compromised ankles I don't fool around with cheap shoes anymore. These shoes are the bomb! They are so well built and incredibly comfortable. They have amazing tension control right along the entire shoe. The full leather up past the ankle provide top notch stability without feeling too stiff up on the shin since they terminated the leather at the perfect place before the upper fabric. Square heel for more stability. So glad I squeezed the trigger on these! Amazing shoes. Get some!

I love my scarpa. I have many walking boots, but from what I sense, these are some of the best you can find. They are truly quality meant for rugged climbs. I plan on getting a pair of Danner's for their classic look, so it boils down to these two if you have the budget for it.

I have owned scarpa boots in the past. these boots have it all, the quality of the material and workmanship is second to none. they feel like you are putting on a glove . I own other back packing boots that are a bit wider and they seem like they slightly restrict your natural foot stride. The kinesis do not do that and they seem to enable you to walk more naturally . Love the leather uppers and rubber Rand for protection
Pros:
Quality fit and finish and price
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Hiking backpacking
