Sea to Summit Rapid 26 Drypack

by Carrie, from WI, United States Written on September 16, 2018
I purchased this drypack for a canyoneering trip in Zion, Utah. It had all the features I was looking for: lightweight, had a waist belt, place for water resevoir and waterproof. Only reason I returned is that my frame is too small for the pack. The straps were hitting my neck and it just did not fit my female body size (5'8" tall and 130 lbs). Wish it came in a smaller size!

Great bag. More durable that it looks.

I haven't had a chance to take this bag out on the trail yet, but will be doing so in about a week. I bought this for a Peru trip where the forecast shows significant amounts of rain. It is definitely large enough to hold rain gear, a large DSLR, snacks, water, and other smaller items. I would fully trust that this would keep water out of the main compartment and be comfortable as well. As mentioned, the fabric is pretty rugged and stiff. I'm looking forward to testing it in the rain and not messing with rain covers again!

Great Drypack

by Amanda S., from IA, United States Written on November 13, 2014
I took this pack canyoneering. The pack was thick enough that the abrasion from the rock didn't tear any holes, although it did get a slightly worn look. The fabric is thick enough I think it will hold through quite a bit of beating. It also kept all of my contents dry, even though I was dropping it down small drops and completely submerging it in water, swimming with it on my back for long periods of time. The pack floats well even if you squeeze the air out of it. The only thing I didn't pick up on is that the outer pocket is not waterproof, so if you put anything in it, it will get wet. The pack is also a bit awkward for a small frame. I am 5'5' 120lbs and the chest strap hit me right across the middle of the chest and was a bit uncomfortable, so if you are a small female you may want to try the pack on before purchasing it.
