I purchased this drypack for a canyoneering trip in Zion, Utah. It had all the features I was looking for: lightweight, had a waist belt, place for water resevoir and waterproof. I haven't had a chance to take this bag out on the trail yet, but will be doing so in about a week. I bought this for a Peru trip where the forecast shows significant amounts of rain. It is definitely large enough to hold rain gear, a large DSLR, snacks, water, and other smaller items. I would fully trust that this would keep water out of the main compartment and be comfortable... I took this pack canyoneering. The pack was thick enough that the abrasion from the rock didn't tear any holes, although it did get a slightly worn look. The fabric is thick enough I think it will hold through quite a bit of beating.
