Super bright. Great hook. Wide or narrow beam or strobe. Comfortable. Stylish even!

I already had a headlamp, but I bought the Snowminer because it's great for illuminating inside a tent. It has the lantern mode for wide light disperal, plus the handy hook for hanging on a line at the top of the tent.
And you can easily put the Snowminer in regular "narrow" beam when you want better forward light viewing, typically when you're outdoors walking down a path (or looking for a bear

I love this snowpeak headlamp. The fact that you can adjust it from a lamp to a lanter with the flick of a finger is awesome. I've always carried both a petzle headlamp and a nite ize domelit when in the backcountry. Not that the domelit was difficult to tag along (it weighs next to nothing and is super small), but it just never seemed to put out enough light in my tent. The snowpeak is super

Great light in all respects. My only gripes are the fact that there is no lock that prevents you from accidentaly turning on the light when its in your pack. Until i discovered it on my black diamond spot, i had nearly spent a few trips with little to know light. Thanks Gd I had spare batteries. I guess if you position it mindfully you wont hae the issue. Its just something that I like to have.

I bought this headlamp to replace my other one that gave up. I love the direct beam/ambient lantern modes. It is a comfortable, simple and bright light to use. It also has a few brightness settings. This product is very well designed, but I would like to see different color options. The hook on the band is just a great addition to hang from your tent. I highly recommend this light.

Used it both trekking pre-dawn hours in the dark - headlamp worked great with the adjustable angle. At night, used the lantern for cooking and in the tent. This is the only light source you need if you are a trekker.

Not the BEST head lamp
Not the BEST small lantern
But put the into one package which functions pretty well for both - you have a winner~!!

Versatile use for any purpose. The lantern design is very smart and perform to bright the campsite or within the tent.
Just worried bit for the waterproof, cuz there is no resistance-rubber band around the battery door, unlike my old Petzl Tikka XP. SP claims IPX4 rain resistance.

Good Product. A little heavy, but it is bright. Lantern only works well if hung above your head. Worth the price
