Built like a tank, powerful burners
I love our Soto stove. It's built to last, and smartly designed, made in Japan, not China. The 15,000BTU burners are powerful and it will boil water in what feels like an instant. Set up is reasonably easy and so far I haven't felt the need to even use the wind screens. Sometimes 15,000 BTU s feels like too much stove though, even on the lowest simmer setting. I'm still getting used to this. It's fantastic for things like heating sauce, boiling pasta, making coffee etc... But maybe less desirable for pancakes and eggs. I'll bring a heftier pan in the future and that should help keep things from burning. Grates can easily hold up to any weight pot and it comes with an adapter, so you can use big refillable propane bottles or the smaller camp stove sized ones.

Battleship Soto!
This thing is a beast of a stove...so overbuilt and with OCD like attention to detail. If you've ever owned or used a Camp Chef, Stansport, Basecamp etc—basically any of the omnipresent rebadged Chinese junk stoves designed to prematurely fail and occupy a landfill near you...this Soto two burner will demand your attention...like comparing a gun to a slingshot. There is an obvious pride in manufacturing here, something people seem to care less and less about in our race to the bottom. Yes, this thing is HEAVY and yes it's expensive, but this stove will last a couple lifetimes and make you grin from ear to ear each and every time you use it.
