Great Jacket / Sweater, period!
Finally, I can report I've found a coat, sweater, jacket (whatever you want to call it) that does what it promises! This Westcomb item is lightest, warmest, most functional piece I own. It's all based on the light weight, rugged fabric, and the 900 fill hutterite down; you can scoff if you want, because the jacket seems flimsy, but it's as warm as if it were much more burly. I walk every day (about 3.5 miles per hour), and work up some pretty good perspiration - yes, even in winter. This jacket, on top of a couple of Icebreaker wool layers keeps me comfortable down into the 20's! Maybe it's ju...

light, warm, perfect
This jacket is super plush. The fabric is very silky and blocks the wind well. I've scraped against quite a few things so far, so it seems pretty durable. And the polartec stretch panels vent excess heat as advertised. Westcomb makes great stuff, and this jacket is no exception. For sizing: I'm 5'10" 185lb w/ a 46 chest and the medium fits perfect. Tried the large and coulda smuggled a couple country hams.

Excellent Sweater for its Purpose
Like many of the items I've reviewed over the last few weeks, this is a Westcomb product. I love the products they make, and I'd love to give unqualified praise to them for the workmanship, functionality, and general good looks; however, I guess my body is just not the right shape or size for many of these products. The Cayoosh LT Sweater is light weight, warm, breathes well, and looks like a million bucks...it just doesn't fit the way I want it to. The medium is too big, and the small is too tight. The elastic at the wrists and waist do not allow for any adjustment (it's that way for many of their products), and for the average guy that may work. For me, though, it's a matter of comfort, and when there are no adjustments possible, it will take a miracle for the "one size fits most" wrists and waist to work. I love, love the jackets I've tried. I have purchased (and returned) so many, trying to find the perfect fit that Campsaver may decide not to ship anything else to me. When I do find what I want, I'll be a very happy man...so I'll keep trying.
