The SpecialistShelters are for technically minded ultralight adventurers. These extremely lightweight shelters have features such as built-in mosquito doors and vestibules, with a lower overall weight and compact size than many bivys. The Specialist is the lightest fully enclosed, seam-sealed shelterin its class. A Specialist can be pitched quickly and provide protection against inclement weather and bugs.

Fully taped seam sealed and reflective guy lines

Good quality Ultralight tent

A nice little ultra light tent. Not really rainproof, so it's necessary to take a lightweight fly for bad weather. I also wish the guy lines were a bright color. Pretty easy to trip over in daylight. The lines are reflective at night. What I do like is the light weight, the two doors (very convenient) and easy set up. All in all a really good tent.

Q I live in CA. Why are there restrictions on the states it can be shipped to?

I'm sorry for any inconvenience. There shouldn't be any restrictions on which state it can ship to. this item should be able to ship anywhere within the states no problem. Some brands don't allow us to ship their products outside of the US which would apply to this.

Q Is a rainfly available for it? In a downpour, will it stay dry inside with a rainfly?

There is not a rainfly available for the Specialist Duo Tent. It is considered a shelter, not a waterproof tent. If there was a downpour, it would not stay dry inside. It can withstand a light-medium rain, but is not sufficient for a rainstorm.
