As much as I would like to be an ultralight backpacker, I love to have a good pillow. This pillow isn't as small and light as my inflatable pillow, but it's much more comfortable and actually feels like real pillow, not like a balloon. Definitely recommended!
Still not as comfortable as a regular pillow. But when that is not an option, it is the best I've had. With no air, it works great as a sit-upon and keeps the cold out. The air makes it versatile in pillow size/fullness. Perfect size for a hammock. It packs up to a compact size and so, it is just what we were looking for.
Backpacking pillows seem to be one of two types: Inflatable bladders or bags of rags. Most inflatables are like sleeping on an inflated ziplock bag. Too firm & plastic'y. I was happy with the pillow, but the description was slightly misleading. When I purchased the pillow I was under the impression all Fillo-Pillows had the straps on the back to hold a rolled up shirt to adjust the pillow's hight.
