I recently did a late winter hike/camp into the Dry River Wilderness and early into the hike we had to put on the crampons due to the extremely icy conditions. With fully loaded packs they performed well. Without the crampons we would not have been able to get into where we were going with the weight of our gear on our backs. On a Wednesday I ordered, I requested the 2-day delivery service via UPS, with same-day shipment if ordered before noon (which I did), expecting that the package would arrive on Friday or Saturday. No, it ended up arriving Monday. I contacted Campsaver and given the excuse... Read more

I have used Hillsound FreeSteps6 crampons for two years all winter in an urban environment. I walk a 100 lb dog everyday all winter across fields and uneven terrain. Sometimes crossing concrete or blacktop roads to get to these fields. I wear crampons to go to and from my car in the winter because of a sloping North facing drive. This year I realized that I had worn down the... Read more
