The Marmot Tungsten 2p is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. A bit above my price range however the features and quality are well worth it. We absolutely love the mesh ceiling so that we can star-gaze on a clear evening. The added head-room is especially helpful for my boyfriend who is very tall. I returned this tent for it's inability to be dry pitched otherwise I would've kept it. I opted for the nemo galaxi instead. But overall an excellent tent for the price. Marmot always makes quality products.
On the very first outing with this tent, we camped in an open meadow we have camped in countless times before. When we awoke, we found the tent covered with grasshoppers. The mesh shell under the rain fly was covered with them, and they were eating the tent! They ate holes in the fly and the mesh, but they were particularly attracted to the mesh. I've used this tent about 9 times so far and have loved it! Kept me dry in the rain a few times, and feels spacious for a 2-person tent. I recently did a 3 week trip to the off center rally in Queensland Australia. The Tungsten 2 stayed cool in the warmer climes and Kept the rain out in the southern regions rain storms.
