I've used this tent about 9 times so far and have loved it! Kept me dry in the rain a few times, and feels spacious for a 2-person tent. The colors are super fun and I love the attachments for the rain fly - the buckles make it super easy to take on & off. I'm 5,9" and love that there's enough space by my feet for a few items or small pack. It's been my go-to since I got it in the spring!

I recently did a 3 week trip to the off center rally in Queensland Australia. The Tungsten 2 stayed cool in the warmer climes and Kept the rain out in the southern regions rain storms. The twin vestibules were very handy for storing gear and twin entry meant we could both get in and out of the tent without crawling over the other person. I great tent that I would thoroughly recommend to my friends

I already have this same tent but for 3 people and I wanted a smaller one. Reviews for this tent were from excellent to horrible and I wanted to give my opinion about it. Anyway, my 3 person tent was bullet proof as far as rain. This time I was able to test them both in the high wind situation. Result was EXCELENT!!! I was in the Death Valley, CA on Christmas Day this year and we had gusts of wind of approximately 30-50 miles per hour. They went on and on the whole night.

This tent is easy to set up and breakdown in the dark. Large vents allow a fast-drying the following morning before being stuff into the backpack. I recommend getting a compression sack since one does not come included. Having a ground cover was a cost saver.
Cons:
- No compression sack included
Best Used for:
- Multiday backpacking, wilderness.

Field tested. This is just a great tent. Price point was on target for this weight and features. Really a great design. Easy to set up. Easy to pack. Entrances on both sides and decent headroom. Love it.
Pros:
- Low weight, great features.

I've used this for 2 years now, no issues. I'm 5'6'', the length is a good fit. If you're above 6', the length may be an issue. I use it for 1 person camping but it will hold 2 people snugly. Easy to setup, zippers all work okay still (be gentle on them). No holes in the insect fabric. Tent hasn't leaked from rain on me. You must get the additional ground footprint to protect the underside of the tent and shield from ground moisture.
Pros:
- Quality Construction
- Easy setup and take down
Best Used for:
- because of it's weight, ~5 mile or under hikes to tenting sites

I'm reviewing the issue that kept me from giving the tent 5 stars. It's been a great tent otherwise. On each seam of the fly, where the seam lines up with the poles, there are 2 velcro straps on each that are glued onto the inside seam. These are optional, but once I got to using them, I liked them. They are easy to install once you figure out the best way to do it and they keep the seams lined up with the poles. That is their only purpose. If you don't care about the pole alignment you can not use them and the tent works fine anyway. There is one velcro where the guyout loop is, and one velcro near the bend on each leg.The problem with these velcro strips is that two of them came unglued from the seam on one of the corners of my tent. I checked the others and found another one of them partially unglued. It looks as if it were never glued down properly. Anyway, I called Marmot and it took quite awhile to get someone on the phone. I asked them if they could tell me what kind of glue to use to glue down the velcro and they said they couldn't provide me with that and that information and that I would need to return the tent for warranty repairs. Well, it seemed ridiculous to me to have to pay shipping and wait for a return on my tent for such a minor repair, which I could easily do myself, so I said, "No, thanks." and tracked down some glue that would bond with these materials. All other features of the tent are great. Perfect for one person and all your stuff, or two people and...

This tent has a lot going for it, but the positives cannot make up for the bad pole design. For the weight, the inside is very roomy and the double doors/vestibules are great. It's also nice that the ground sheet is included.
However, I had a couple of major issues with the poles. There are two diagonal poles, but instead of being separate, they are connected in the middle. Separate poles make pitching a tent super easy, whereas connected poles are a major pain. It's impossible to work on one end of a pole without having three other ends waving around, running into things, and just generally being a nuisance. The biggest problem is the third little pole that you are supposed to pitch across the ridge line. Installing it requires putting the pole under tension. To break down the tent, you have to release that pole from under tension. Besides being very difficult to release, this ridge pole was just below eye level for me (I'm 5'1"). Releasing it from tension seems like a great way to lose an eye! The connected diagonals were annoying, but the ridge pole was the reason I had to return this tent.

Took my tungsten two person tent out this weekend camping I really liked it very practical very well-made for the price I was surprised. It has most everything you would really need for a nice experience I would definitely recommend this tent and I will be camping in it a lot
