Hello, Is it the model with black lids and silicon? it seems that GSI has changed recently the lids design and now the new lids do not melt. Thanks

This is the older model that does not have the black lid or silicone ring. GSI has recently made changes to all of their cook sets. We are in the process of adding the updated products to our site, we will be finishing today. This is clearanced at a 25% discount because it is the older model.

Can this be used over a camp fire in a fire pit or is it only for a camp stove?

No, according to GSI. "CAUTION: Never heat nFORM Crossover cookware to extreme temperatures or allow it to boil dry. Pot and Strainer lid intended for stovetop use only. Not for use with microwave ovens, conventional ovens or open campfires. Lid is not intended for use with hot oil or grease. Do not use lid when frying. Gripper may become hot when cooking. Always use caution when grasping handle. Never expose handle to direct flame. Do not attempt to separate mug and bowl while full."
