Insulated Q-core
I've had many variations of camp mats. Thermarest, coleman, etc.. I've never had a Big agnes pad, until now, and I have to say, I'm pretty upset that I didn't give it a go sooner. I am a side sleeper of the worst kind, so, sleeping during backpacking trips is a nightly flop-fest with my arms going n...

Big Agnes Blowup
What started out as a nice sleep pad just ended up a huge waste of money as the welded seams of the q-core kept popping loose. I understand now why they no longer make this model. Complete waste of hard earned cash

Great sleep pad ever
I had all but given up on tent camping while hiking or biking. I’ve enjoyed learning the hammock camp alternate and generally don’t mind the fiddling to get the right setup for good sleep. Sometimes on organized bike rides or at certain campgrounds, though, hammock camping is not allowed. I decided to try the BA Air Core as I prepare for some upcoming bike camping in 2021. At age 60 and 250#, foam pads and my old style 1 1/2” self-inflating pad just aren’t good enough anymore.

Comfortable pad
This is definitely a 4-season pad, very comfortable, not the lightest but good quality. I bought it not noticing it has a twist valve. I would have preferred using my Exped Schnozzles', but my kids have no problem blowing it up, so they got new pads. My wife likes the quilted top. Our old Exped mats were tube type.
Pros:
- Comfortable
Cons:
- Valve
Best Used for:
- 4-season camping

Very impressed
I wanted to add an update but Campsaver has no record of my purchase in my account nor writing a review of this Big Agnes pad. My review was very scathing of the pad and BA themselves but their customer service has been absolutely perfect and they are sending a replacement. I'm so happy that BA is living up to its reputation and sometimes I just love being wrong.....
Awesome product from an excellent company.......

Very frustrated
I will admit to have been taken in by the Big Agnes name and it seems like I am in the minority here. I bought a different BA sleeping pad last year which leaked after a few times. I got so disgusted that I threw it out. This year I decided to give BA another chance and bought this Q-Core pad. BA has that quality reputation right........ This one didn't even last 1 night and 3 days into my camping trip it leaks so badly the pad is 'flat'. Luckily I brought a Coleman camping cot that has a mattress of its own or I'd be very sore..... I called BA and they have started a warranty claim.
BA better pay for the return and send me a perfect pad back or they will be finished for me forever. Check your equipment before you head out..... I am 0 for 2 for far........

Very comfortable
Very comfortable! I imagine it would be used for car camping. It isn’t heavy but it is bulky when packed up. Camping pads have come a long way. This is the thickest, most comfortable pad I have used. Good for side sleepers. It does make noise when change your sleeping position.
Pros:
- comfortable, durable
Cons:
- May be too bulky for backpacking
Best Used for:
- Kid sleepovers, car camping

Great sleep Pad ever
I can't say enough good things about the my Big Agnes sleeping pad. I love to camp, but one of the things that has been holding me back--no pun intended--is that I get a sore back when I'm sleeping on the ground. I'm just not ready to pull the trigger on a hammock, because A: I feel like I'm presenting myself as a burrito fit for a bear, and B: I feel like if I have to use a hammock, I'm losing something by sleeping off the ground.

Good comfort
Nice pads comfortable. Would reccomend to anyone. Shipping was slow but they finally got them to me. They were not packaged well but they arrived okay. Pump bag is not very good we used out exped foot pump which worked much better

Exactly what I wanted
While I just got my package and haven’t taken it out, but when I took it out of the packaging and practiced inflating it I was very impressed. It really does blow up in minutes and compact, easy to store.

Too big to have to blow up by mouth.
Should have a port to attach a Big Agnes air bag.
This mattress is also a good four inches thick which means it takes even more air to blow in by mouth.
I like that it's a warm mattress, just not willing to blow that much air into it.
