Most Helpful Positive Review Best night sleep Backpacking
This review is for both this pad (WIDE and LONG version) and for the summit park 15 sleeping bag because I bought them both and I don't want to write two separate reviews! I have only used it once so far. I had my best sleep ever backpacking on this pad and bag. SOOO ROOMY in that bag with the extr...

Most Helpful Negative Review Great service but the sleeping pad is far too narrow.
Sleeping pad manufacturers appear to be of the opinion that people are like big bean poles. An inch across so they can fit 20 bodies on a matt. Unfortunately they have got it all wrong. I’m not a big guy, I’m athletic but only 5 foot, 3 inches and a bit tall while acting an ape and swinging on a tre...

Comfortable, packs small but heaver than expected

by David T., Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 3, 2016
This pad is very comfortable with the right air pressure, but ....
The pad specifications are incorrect at Campsaver (and on the Big Agnes website). They say the pad weighs 16 ounces. In fact I weighed two of these pads and both of the Q line SL pads (size "20 x 66") weighed 18.6 ounces. This is 16% higher than was specified. Also, the dimensions of the pad are before the pad is inflated. The pad shrinks two inches in width and at least three inches in length when inflated. Keep this in mind if you think the dimensions are marginal for you. This pad is very expensive. If this pad had come from anyone but Campsaver it would have gotten an even lower rating due to the high price. The Campsaver price was the cheapest by far, and at their price it was still a good deal. If weight is a high priority for you, then stick with a Thermarest RidgeRest SOLite at only 7.8 ounces. They are also much cheaper.

Cushy and light, more durable than expected

by Ken S., from CO, United States Written on May 29, 2016
I found a good deal on a pair of these for me and my wife, so we decided to ditch our old, thin, self-inflating pads. Good choice! These are very cushy and more durable than expected, but they are 1-2 inches narrower than specified (as other reviews had warned). This small difference matters and you always feel like you're falling off the thing. Still, a good choice, but consider ordering the larger models.

Big Agnes Insulated Q-Core SL Sleeping Pad

by Diethelm, from LANCASHIRE, United Kingdom Written on May 25, 2016
Sleeping pad manufacturers appear to be of the opinion that people are like big bean poles. An inch across so they can fit 20 bodies on a matt. Unfortunately they have got it all wrong. I’m not a big guy, I’m athletic, fairly slim and muscular but only 5 foot, 3 inches and a bit tall while acting an ape and swinging on a tree. Despite this my shoulders just about overlap the width of this matt so I have a hard time stopping my arms from flopping over the edge. THIS IS NOT GOOD. One of the reasons I purchased this matt was to keep my sleeping bag off the ground in severe condensation when puddles form of the ground sheet of the tent. This matt is just not wide enough to prevent that. SO WHATS SO HARD ABOUT PRODUCING A MATT THAT PEOPLE CAN FIT ON WITHOUT BEING A MILE LONG? My only other grip would be that this matt loses pressure after about 12 hours so I need to re-inflate it. This would be a perfect matt if not for the rediculous width.

Love this pad, want to marry it

by Candaca M., Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on April 21, 2016
Worked great for a week backpacking with temps below freezing. The most comfortable I've ever been camping, previously used thermarest scout. The sides inflate a little fuller, so it cradles you nicely. Takes ~30+ breaths to inflate, but super light and compact when deflated. I don't think it's noisy, maybe because I didn't roll around much, just slept.

miss ordered

by James F., Written on January 6, 2016
A great product, but mistakenly ordered the mummy when I needed the rectangular. In the middle of the reasonable-but-less-than-ideal return and reorder process.
