Most Helpful Positive Review Very Best Bivy Tent
Much better, in important ways, than any other BIVY- Light weight- under 2 LBS. (but not the lightest compared to the bare bones BIVIES which have a LOT LESS interior head/breathing room, less roll around room, not to mention less comfort, breath ability and functionality). Compared to the current l...

Most Helpful Negative Review Out in the Rockies
I was backpacking with 3 people out in the rockies. We were out there for a little over a week. I paid almost 400 for this Bivy thinking "get something worth getting or don't get it at all." 1st setup took around 12mins if put my matt down 15º day night -30. 1st night I was cold but the real problem...

Reliable , Small , light and Packable

by Jay, from AE, United States Written on October 2, 2018
I’ve had this bivy for 3years now , used it in constant rain , snow and sub Zero temps , It holds true ! The seams ARE taped , the top Red part is a breathable 2.5 layer fabric similar to old GTX active shell highly breathable the bottom is standard tent bottom Codora like , and Also Taped ! The poles are the simplest set up ever and wheigh and pack to nothing ! I put the Bivy in my compression sack with my sleeping bag and the poles I slide in the cracks of my pack when I’m done packing ! All my friends bought one , a friend told me about the BA three wire I bought one ! Compared to what’s on the market this sheds the most condensation except in high humidity environments which is expected of a bivy ! FYI it’s not meant to keep you warm , that’s a sleeping Pad and Bags job , if you have a lot of condensation open the top a bit as you have a vestibule hood ! Don’t blame the gear and rate one star . lol ........ I was so impressed I also bought BA Blackburn UL sleeping system bag ,
Pros:
  • Reliable , Small , light and Packable
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • All season , mountaineer and bivouacs

Big Agnes 3 wire bivy

by Dean D., from NV, United States Written on May 1, 2018
I've had this bivy for several years, and I recommend it. Measures 90" long and 31" top by 25" bottom wide. Fits a 78"x25" rectangular pad inside. Has two small poles that are attached to support the hood and create the great headroom. One pole goes lengthwise, and one hoops widthwise. Has bug screen, so you can get ventilation. Easy setup. Good in all weather.
Pros:
  • Roomy for a bivy
Cons:
  • Bivy, you can't sit up
Best Used for:
  • Lightweight backpacking
Would recommend: Yes

Best bivy ever , worth every penny . I dont keep in in the sack . its stuffs really small anywhere . super breathable and bright red with reflective triming . you have enough room to read a book . very spacious and enough room fro two people on a alpine emergency ." Not recomened though , Ha ha ."
the poles are longer so I just through them in the side of my rucksack . super awesome 4 season quality alpine gear .

Big Agnes Three Wire Bivy

by Fred T., Written on January 1, 2017
So far this Bivy has been a great addition to my dualsport motorcycle camping kit. It packs up small, weighs very little and with my Big Agnes sleeping bag and pad it makes for a great night's sleep . I would give it 5 stars except for the value. You can purchase a great quality small tent at Camp Saver for less than the current price of this bivy. Quality=5stars, Application=5stars.
