TOASTY and super light for travel

by KarlosJ83, Gear Expert from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2011
After searching and searching for a new sleeping mat, i came to this one and jumped to have it.
And it is exactly as it promises to be.
Very warm, packs down very small easy to use, light,
Wunderbar!

I am a fan, locks out so much cold from the ground, super comfy, means i dont need a ridiculous -30C sleeping bag! Makes it easier.

The only con so far is that if you have movement in your sleep, t
Most Helpful Positive Review If it keeps me warm this winter...
Easy to inflate, seems to be well made, my only problem was the price tag. Maybe when I'm using it this winter I'll feel better about spend the bucks.
Most Helpful Negative Review Really expensive for what it is
After fully inflated, when putting moderate pressure on an area of the mat, you will bottom out. Doesn't seem like there are alot of baffles. When I laid on my side, My pelvis sometimes will touch the bottom. The pump takes a long time to inflate compared to other mats. This is too expensive for w...

Almost sinfully luxurious

by Brant B., Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on November 14, 2016
Loving this new pad after 3 days of southern Utah shoulder-season camping. With nights dropping to the mid-40s, it’s insulation wasn’t really put to the test, but it is ridiculously comfortable. I’m 6’5 and ordered the biggest size. The width is perfect: even if it’s too wide to fit in my Big Agnes 0-degree bag’s sleeve there’s so much real-estate that I’m not worried about rolling off into the cold. Packs up to a very reasonable size. Can’t wait to try it in the snow, if it ever starts snowing!

Great Mat and Shopping Experience

by Lisa C., from ON, Canada Written on October 20, 2014
The Exped Downmat 7 was my first purchase from Campsaver. I used the mat on a kayaking trip in Georgian Bay. Its small packed size was a bonus when stowing it in my kayak and it was comfy when sleeping on the rocks of Georgian Bay. I live in Canada and appreciated the fact that Campsaver ships using USPS which partners with Canada Post so the package cleared customs without delay or hassle. I am very happy with both the product and Campsaver.

Good quality compact mat

by Kayaker Dawn, Written on August 5, 2014
My husband has had a similar mat for several years and he really likes the compactness and comfort. I recently got this similar one and it meets the same criteria, suitable for kayaking and camping. We also purchased the cover which provides durability and comfortable seating when camping on islands.

Kept me comfy and warm

by Tonya, Written on May 5, 2014
I've used my mat once. It was 35*F out when I woke but with this mat and my down sleeping bag I was warm and comfy. It took a little while longer than I had hoped inflating it but my wrists are weak (I'm no spring chicken) and I took a few breaks. Overall it's an excellent product.

Good

This mat is so far one of the best I've use. It's little pricy. I used it twice. Don't know if it will break, but it looks pretty sturdy.

Great Pad!

by Miss Pic, Written on December 12, 2013
Already purchased one of these, LOVE IT, and purchased another one for my husband who asked for it (he doesn't like his since he used mine once). We have five various sleeping pads, but this is by far the best. We live in the Appalachians and like to hike all year around. This pad is very comfortable and warm during those 18 degree nights in the winter. Also, like the interior pump and will not

overall, a great pad

Very comfortable and well designed pad. It does a good job of insulating you from the cold ground. The integrated pump is icing on the cake. My wife loved it so much we bought a second one.

luxury sleeping

by Mythtickle, from QUEENSLAND, Australia Written on September 10, 2013
I purchased the Downmat 7 (medium) as a lighter alternative to my Downmat 9 (long wide), which is wonderfully spacious and comfortable but too heavy for cycle touring. I am 183 cm tall (6 feet) and the medium is adaquately long to keep my entire body off the ground. I expect my new Downmat 7 to provide almost the same level of comfort with a significant weight advantage. It is still not exactly fe

a cosy nights sleep

by Tassie ranger, from TASMANIA, Australia Written on September 10, 2013
I have tried a few inflatable mattress's and haven't been impressed until I borrowed a friends downmat. It had great insulative properties, packed down quite small and was comfortable. The only downside I found was inflating the mat was time consuming.... however pros far outweighed the cons so I bought one and haven't looked back
