Most Helpful Positive Review CLEVER ENGINEERING MAGIC!
You may look at this apparently frail web of plastic and think, 'come on. I'm a grown-ass man. There's no way something that flimsy can even hold me up, much less keep me comfortable!' And you, sir, would be like me. Dead Wrong. My initial plan was actually to buy this thing, learn the error of my ways and send it back. But, after a few nights outside, there's no way I'm giving it back! I went from a huge sleeping mat covering the entire back of my pack to this marvel taking up the size of a soda can inside. Don't be dumb, don't think you're smarter that that. Just bite the bullet and...

lightweight but surprisingly comfortable

by fred, from NC, United States Written on October 7, 2019
I have tried it out on a variety of surfaces, although realistically this is a trail pad. I wanted worst case from laying on a hard floor to being on a rockier trail to being on softer ground. The pad initially is going to feel flat when you sit on it to position yourself. That's just the nature of it. It only feels comfortable with your body spread out evenly. It is long enough for me at 6ft to not feel my foot overhanging. The attached pillow is a mixed bag for me. I like positioning my pillow differently for back and side sleeping, but nothing a roll of clothes under it could not fix to lift the pillow up more. I do tend to roll (from back to side and it's either side). It's not as comfortable for side sleeping as my klymit static V, and on harder surfaces you get more pressure points over the hours. It is very small though and quite light. I won't use it for short backpack trips or weekend camping, but it should be really good for week long backpacking treks with the boy scouts.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • Comfort
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking (multiple days)

Surprisingly comfortable

This sleeping pad is very lightweight and fills quickly with air. It fits nicely in my mummy sleeping bag. I think I will sleep warm and comfortable when I head out this summer for backpack camping. It seems to be of good quality.

Too good to be true. Disappointed

by Andrew, from OR, United States Written on August 22, 2017
At 5' 8" 175lbs I figured this pad was sure bet with the positive reviews from other bigger people. A plus is the air pocket concept does work. It is light and packs small. BUT it lacks support. I tried it for three days straight. got the same results all three nights. Woke up several times every night with pressure points , either on my back or sides depending on how I slept. As I hike hard, and sleep is the only really recovery time, a night tossing and turning because of pressure points caused by an unsupported pad, does not equal rest. Bottom line-will be returning since it offers no support to side sleepers and feels like you are sleeping on a net of manila rope!!
Pros:
  • Light weight
  • packs small
Cons:
  • unsupportive to side sleepers
  • pressure points on back like all thin pads

This pad is light and

by Felix S., Written on June 26, 2017
This pad is light and easily inflatable and it fits right into the sleeping mattress. Does take a few tries to get used to the mattress. I would recommend it to anybody who wants a light-weight pad to sleep on. Would not use it for minus twenty situations though.

Inertia Ozone sleeping pad - a lot, that's almost nothing

by Glenn M., Written on April 21, 2017
Very light, very small, and very comfortable. I'm 6'3"/205#, and it is exactly the right size for me. With my head centered on the Xpillow, my heels are right on the bottom channel. Four big breaths for the mattress section, and a little more than 1 for the pillow section. Supports and cushions everywhere it needs to...and tiny packed up!

I like it.

by Michael O., Written on May 8, 2015
I use this pad in a different way. I’m a grad student and like to take cat naps in a library study room. My sleeping system is made up of a fleece pillow stuff sack, a thermarest sit pad—these two are added to the pillow. For a blanket, I use different things. In my experience, this pad needs to be blown up as much as possible as that helps to stop my back from getting too cold. I would be nervous to use this pad backpacking in other seasons than summer. But, I am 240 lbs, so your milage may differ.
