Most Helpful Positive Review First pair of Lems...everything I had hoped for
I have unfortunate feet. I am 30 and am facing surgery on both feet for bunions that started forming when I was about 11. I chalk this up to pronating ankles and general skeletal posture. I ignored the issue most of life, though I stopped wearing heels regularly 7 years ago. Still pain all the time....

Most Helpful Negative Review Toe box needs more height
The toe-box is wide and the "foot shape" is excellent. However, the problem for me is the lack of height in the toe-box. It is extremely shallow. One solution would be having a longer tongue that extends closer to the toes This would allow adaptability through lacing tightness.....enabling someone w...

Best boots I've ever bought.

by QuantumYeti, from CO, United States Written on March 25, 2020
Great boots. Most comfortable boots I've owned. Light weight too. Durability was surprising considering how light they are. Lasted just a tad over a year of nearly everyday use. If they were heavier duty they would definitely replace my Redwings as a work boot. Soles wore out but could be replaced. Took care of the leather and is still in great shape. Worth every penny.
Pros:
  • Super comfy, durable, light, good lookin all day wear
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Dang near anything

Nice boots

by Jitchua, from WI, United States Written on September 24, 2018
I am really enjoying these boots. They are light, comfortable, and pretty good looking. I put a leather conditioner on them before I wore them outside to help protect them a bit, but otherwise I expect they will be wonderful for this coming Wisconsin winter.
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • Light
  • minimal
  • wide toebox
  • Utilitarian
Cons:
  • None

Lem's Boulder Boots leather

by Matt, from VT, United States Written on July 4, 2018
These boots are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I do construction work and am on my feet all day in a variety of situations. I usually wear hiking boots but was looking for footwear that offers lightweight construction, zero drop, and unrestricted toe room while still giving some protection to my feet. So far these boots have worked perfectly. I ordered a men's 46, based on Lem's size chart, and they fit very true to size. I really like how they make my feet feel great even after a wearing them all day. The soles have good traction on many different surfaces even though they have very minimal tread. The minimal tread is also good since it doesn't pick up a ton of debris and keeps me from tracking in as much dirt when I am working on a clean job site.

I gave a four star rating to these boots because I feel that the leather is a bit thin and the soles are on the soft end of the spectrum for wear. A lot of people mention that Boulder Boots are not waterproof and that is very true, although, I have been able to work with this situation by applying a wax based waterproofing and cleaning the leather with saddle soap. The cotton liner has not been as troublesome for me as other reviewers have mentioned, at least so far in the Summer. I would encourage Lem's to make a better (5 star!) version of this boot by using better leather, a flat and durable Vibram sole, a waterproofing booty, and maybe a different liner. Of course, this would add to the price and mak...

Great boots aside from being defective

by Dustin, from TX, United States Written on June 19, 2018
I got a good deal on these. I should have know better.... when I got these in the stitching was screwed up and already unraveling. There was also a pressure line on one side of the boot like it had been crushed. I wish I had ordered elsewhere because now I’m waiting for another pair to ship and I bought them for a photo shoot. Guess who won’t have the boots they planned on wearing for it? This guy. Great guys. Glad you inspect your wares before sending them off.
Pros:
  • Good price
Cons:
  • Came in defective
Best Used for:
  • Camping
  • HIKING
  • Everyday Wear

Lems leather boulder boot.

by Is, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on April 15, 2018
I was enjoying these shoes but had to return them for an exchange after only wearing them 3 times. The stitching started to come apart on the top of the boot. I am very satisfied with campsaver though, I received them very quickly and was provided a free return label. Hopefully the shoes I receive in exchange will be better stitched.
Pros:
  • Very lite weight and flexible
Cons:
  • Made in China
Best Used for:
  • casual wear

Poor Quality

by Dave, from TX, United States Written on February 19, 2018
I received my Boulder boots three days ago. I have only worn them twice and the stitching on the moc-toe is beginning to come unstitched. I will be sending them back for a refund. I don't recommend these boots for actual hiking, the don't hold up to day to day commute.
Pros:
  • COMFORT
Cons:
  • Poor quality

So far, so good. (Alaska review)

by Chris, from AK, United States Written on February 12, 2018
I wear a size 10-10.5 typically and the 44 fit perfectly. Swapped the laces over to elastic, but the factory included ones seemed really nice and able to hold well for more technical stuff like hiking etc. I've been using these as my around town boots in Alaska in temps down to -12*F in regular socks and my feet are still warm. It should be noted that I haven't used these for hiking (yet) and haven't spent hours outside in them. I will say that I have walked through and stood in snow up to about 7'' deep without any issues. I also plan to wear these for all my hiking and hunting this coming spring/summer/fall. I was concerned about grip given the fact that these boots don't have lugs. I am happy to report though that that has not been an issue for me (yet). But we will see when I get into hiking and technical walks on wet logs/rocks/ etc. in the forest during the rainy season.

Some reviews I read online before purchase stated that there are water proofing concerns with regard to the seems. To avoid this issue I gave them 3 generous coats of heavy duty waterproofing camp spray (which can be found at most major retailers/box stores - green bottle and cap). I haven't had any moisture issues at all, although they are not a sealed boot, so deep water will be a no go if you want dry feet. I also plan to do a rub on leather wax during the rainy seasons.

As far as comfort goes these boots are awesome right out of the box, if not a little stiff. I have a slight amount of heel rubbin...

Great shoes. Very slow delivery

by J, from VA, United States Written on January 26, 2018
Lems boots fit like a glove. Very pleased with them early on and hope they hold up to some usage. Shipping with campsaver was extremely slow however. Almost 3 weeks. Might look for another company to purchase through if you can find a good deal elsewhere.

Casual boots?

by Chief, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on November 16, 2017
2 days later I noticed that the stitching on the left boot is coming apart. I really like these boots so I repaired them myself by sewing them up using an awl with waxed nylon thread. The way the boots are sewn is definitely a design flaw in my opinion. Other than that I do have one more issue. ..the tread could be a bit more aggressive, kinda hard to get traction in the snow. They are supposed to be casual boots, and they the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, I am 65 years old so have worn a lot of boots, that said, I did put them to the test. They aren't perfect but are very light on your feet and I found them to be very comfortable to wear.
Best Used for:
  • Not so good for hunting in Montana
