Most Helpful Positive Review Love everything about it
I use this to backpack for a couple nights at a time, and so far absolutely love it! Its super light and small about the size of nalgene bottle when rolled up. Its incredibly warm I last was sleeping in my 0 degree sleeping bag on a -5 night and I was just perfectly toasty. I was quite shocked that ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Super Warm and Light, Not great for Side Sleepers
I really wanted to love this pad because it is SO LIGHT. It blows up well with the Big Agnes bag inflator. You can feel the warmth being radiated back to your body. The pad's construction ensures you don't "bottom out" if sitting up. The main reason I didn't keep mine is that I am a side sleeper and...

Wanted to like it

by Lee, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on April 7, 2020
I read the other reviews and was a bit worried about the noise and width of this pad. I don’t move much when sleeping, so thought it might be OK for me. The price, comfort and weight were real selling points. Sadly, the crinkle sounds was just too much. I would worried about it waking my tent mate. And the width is a bit narrow. I’ll return this and keep looking.
Pros:
  • COMFORT
  • weight
  • Cost is reasonable
Cons:
  • narrow
  • Noisey
Best Used for:
  • Backpacing

lightweight, just the right length

by sunny, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on May 9, 2019
I'm 5'6" and I've always found the regular NeoAirs too long and the short ones too short. It always felt like I was carrying extraneous weight with my other pads, but this one is perfect for my height! I'm a tosser so the width could've been a little wider, but it didn't feel any narrower the other neoair regulars. I've used it down to freezing, but the insulation seemed enough down to the 20s (I'm a cold sleeper). The material is less crinklier than my xtherm.

Better Than Expected

by Roger, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on April 12, 2019
I knew the NeoAir XLite was popular but I also considered it out of my price range. Armed with a coupon and a Campsaver sale I bought the women's model that is only 1 inch shorter than me. Slept on the hardwood floor the first night I got it and loved it. I'm about 150 lbs and a side sleeper and I never felt my hip bones sinking thru the pad to the floor. It's very comfortable and warm too. It's the same width as my Sol Lite pad but the 2.5 inch thickness allowed me to also sleep on my stomach which I can't on the Sol Lite. Yes it's a little noisy but not enough to offset the comfort. Glad I bought it.
Pros:
  • Comfortable and warm
Cons:
  • Expensive
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Wonderfully thick!

by Adya, from MO, United States Written on September 14, 2018
I am so pleased with this air mattress. It wasn't as hard to blow up as I expected and retained all it's air overnight. The thickness is something I've been searching for as I have hip issues. In fact, due to how thick it is, I was able to let just a little air out to make it less firm and still not feel the ground. It's super compact and super light in comparison to some of the others I've owned. The ONLY drawback is that you really need a sleeping bag/quilt that has a pad attachment feature. The outer layer of my sleeping bag is slick so I did slide off a few times but that's not the pad's fault!
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Thick
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking and camping

My Go To Pad

by Frog, from CA, United States Written on June 7, 2018
My go to sleeping pad. Packs small to about Nalgene bottle, lightweight at 12oz, warm w R value 3.9 (I'm a cold sleeper)...just long enough for my 5'7" height. I deflate it slightly to reduce the noise...sleep on my stomach so I don't roll off it. With the right sleeping bag and tent I can use it as a 4 season pad. Easy to inflate but takes a bit longer to deflate completely but not a big deal.

Light and comfortable

by Steven H., from CO, United States Written on June 7, 2017
I go this to use as a Plan B go-to-ground mattress in case I can't hang my hammock while backpacking. Integrates well with my top quilt. Too soon to judge its durability over the long haul.

i like that it packs so small. It does make noise when you move but I guess I will get used to it.

Great sleep

by Robert I., Written on May 9, 2015
Took it out for a 3 night test run before really hitting the trail and it was AMAZING. Easy to inflate, deflate and change firmness (very nice when sleeping on it night after night). It does seem like I will have to take a bit more care setting up and sleeping with my dog in the tent, but I keep a pretty clean tent. May wrap a piece of tyvek around it just “feel” better about punchers. If it stands up to years of use…..it would be a 5 star.
