Simply put, this is the most comfortable and lightest ultralight three-season pad you can put in your pack. Designed with gram counters, thru hikers, and technical gear junkies in mind, the Insulated AXL Air combines a high-tenacity, patent-pending nylon rip-stop shell with internal minimalist construction that maximizes every ounce's stability and comfort. With larger outer tubes, this pad keeps you cradled on top, while the PrimaLoft Silver® insulation, working with the heat reflective barrier, traps body heat and reflects it back so you stay comfy as the temperatures drop. Save room and weight in your pack for other backcountry essentials, since you won't even know the Insulated AXL Air is in there.

I bought the 78"x25" rectangular pad. Packs down to 10-1/2" long x 4-1/2" diameter, weighs an even one pound, is 3-1/2" thick, rated to 15 degrees F. I have not used it at temperatures lower than 30 degrees F, so can't attest to the 15 degree temperature rating. It's OK at 30 degrees F, but I did not feel I'd push it to 15 degrees F. I've had this pad in the 78"x25" size for 2 years. It's about 3.25 inches thick, very comfortable and very light. Worked fine for the first year, used about 6 times. I loved it. This year I had my daughter sleep on it for a backpacking trip. Went flat after a few hours. Slow leak, couldn't tell where it was leaking. Ruined our trip. I slept on a 15 year old Exped Synmat... Lightweight pad, using for late to early 3 season Bikepacking. Packs small and convenient. Using Big Agnes bag pump or would take extra effort to manually inflate. Regular Size Wide is comfortable and roomy and fits in Big Agnes 1 person tent.

This is the best single investment that I have made in backpacking equipment. Like sleeping on a cloud ! I especially like that it is easier to inflate and deflate than any sleeping pad that I have had in the past. No problems with warmth so far.
