This 60cm sling makes great alpine draws for your trad rack. Or for slinging chickenheads when no gear can be placed. Just be sure to get different colors for different lengths so you grab the correct sling.

These are my preferred sling for alpine draws. They are light, easy to work with, extend easily. The only reason these aren't perfect are because the fibers catch on the rivets of carabiners. Still an easy recommendation.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • fibers catch on rivets
Best Used for:
  • alpine draws

These are great slings. Strong and light weight. I purchased the 60 and 120 cm, which are great for alpine trad climbs. Be sure to get the different lengths in a different color, so that you can quickly identify easily which length is which

I use my 180cm as tree huggers for my hammock, a couple of wraps gives me a wide, flat band, so I don't damage the tree. They're under stressed to say the least. Everthing I was looking for....lightweight, compact & strong. Luv 'em.

Q At what temperatures do these slings start to degrade or melt.
A

Dyneema has a melting temperature of around 300 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are going to use this for climbing then the suggestion is to store it in a cool dry place and out of direct sunlight. During normal use your sling shouldn't experience any environments where it even comes close to the melting point. If it does then you should retire it im... Read More
