Own the 2 inch inflatable pad and it works well.
Open the valve and let the air inflate though it'll take awhile.
If you want a firmer pad, then blow into it then shut the valve. Be careful not to over inflate the pad for a firm pad as it may pop.
It's easy to clean and relatively easy to store into its own stuff bag.
Buy when it's on sale.

I have a 3 inch and a 4 inch. While thicker is nice, the 2 inch will work for most people. The 2
inch is exponentilly easier to roll up.

I don't sleep well on hard surfaces. Use this for overnight backpacking. The pad gives me the cushion I need plus helps keep me warm when the temperature drops into the 30's overnight. It's slightly heavier than a regular backpack sleeping pad, but a good night's rest is worth the extra ounces.

i bought this for my girlfriend and i bougt the solar ridgerest since it was cheaper and i figured i didn't need as much. We just went camping and it hit about 40 degrees. Both of them did just fine insulating the ground. The basecamp provided much more support and was much more comfortable. Especially trying to sleep on the side. The basecamp pad provided complete cushion against my hip when sleeping on the side. I felt the ground with the RR solar (not too bad but definitely noticeable). I found myself rolling over onto the basecamp when she got up. The basecamp also rolls up and goes into the stuff sack which is much smaller in diameter than the RR. We just camp at sites so packing wasn't much of an issue for us. We checked out the Trail scout and although it packs into half the space, we didn't need it too. I would definitely recommend it for any non backpacking camping. I will likely upgrade my Solar RR to that.

This pad is great for car camping. When used with a cot you'll think you're sleeping in a bed. It is not a backpacker's pad but great for what it is intended.

I hike long, rough trails so minimal size and weight is important when choosing gear. This Therm-a-Rest pad is a little heavier and bulkier than others out there but a good nights sleep is my best friend when camping and this self-inflator delivers! I used to tough it out, but no more sore shoulders and hips for me. All foam has a memory of sorts so I leave the pad unrolled and inflated under my b

Excellent sleep pad for it is intended. Just as it's name implies, BaseCamp. I use this pad for trialhead use, it stays in my Jeep when I hit the trail. It does exactly what I need it to do and its intentd use.
